Kristie Nystedt is the President and CEO of ABS Commercial, Atlantic Brew Supply, and Raleigh Brewing Company. A Michigan native, she earned her BSBA in Accounting from the University of Central Michigan. Kristie's career began in healthcare IT finance, where she played a pivotal role in multiple mergers and acquisitions.
In 2013, Kristie ventured into entrepreneurship, founding Raleigh Brewing Company and subsequently expanding her vision to include ABS Commercial and Atlantic Brew Supply. As the first woman to own a brewery in North Carolina, Kristie recognized a niche in the market, leading to the establishment of Atlantic Brew Supply to serve homebrewers and ABS Commercial to provide quality equipment and technical process solutions, with a consultative approach, for commercial brewers.
Under Kristie's leadership, Raleigh Brewing has grown into Wake County’s third-largest production brewery and has opened two additional taprooms. Atlantic Brew Supply has flourished as the largest brick-and-mortar homebrew supply shop on the East Coast, while ABS Commercial's equipment has expanded beyond beer, and is now utilized in 34 states and four countries.
Beyond business, Kristie remains dedicated to community involvement, serving on local economic development, arts, and women's development boards. She continues to inspire and empower young women, leaving a lasting positive impact on her community and industry alike.
