Educating our at risk youth—it’s more than textbooks

Education and success are achieved through more than textbooks.  It is experience, exposure and exploration, which oftentimes, are opportunities children from lower income families don’t have.  Kirby Jones, founder of The Daniel Center for Math and Science will share how their program helps to provide these children with opportunities to help them succeed.
Kirby Jones a social entrepreneur, who in 2010 founded The Daniel Center for Math and Science, a non-profit organization that seeks to narrow the education gap in math science, and technology for at-risk and economically disadvantaged children. As its Executive Director, Kirby has guided The Daniel Center in making a measurable
difference in the academic and social lives of the children his program serves. His passion for children, and a tremendous desire to see their lives bettered through education, has been the catalyst for the success of The Daniel Center.
